James City County’s Parks & Recreation Department seeks an individual to conduct swim lessons for patrons of all ages. Works under the supervision of Aquatics Operations Manager Responsible for conducting a quality learning experience for all patrons, assuring their safety while maintaining a professional relationship with patrons. Instructs all levels of the Learn to Swim Program (Children and Adults) to the American Red Cross Standard. Instructors must be outgoing, motivating, supportive, and charismatic. Must attend staff training and meetings. Help swimmers to overcome potential challenges such as their fear of moving water or difficulty getting out of the water.
