About The Position

The YMCA of Delaware is dedicated to ensuring every youth and teen we serve is on a pathway to success, improving the health and wellbeing of every individual and family we serve, and uniting communities while inspiring service to others. We are looking for a dedicated individual to teach swim techniques, strokes, and water safety rules to participants with varying swimming abilities. This role involves assessing and evaluating the progress of participants, monitoring the pool to prevent accidents and injuries, and maintaining attendance and progress reports of all participants. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of age.
• Ability to swim 25 yards of 4 of the following strokes: Front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, butterfly, side stroke, or elementary back stroke.

Responsibilities
