About The Position

YMCA at Brentwood is Now Hiring for Swim Instructor
Do you love the water and helping others learn to swim with confidence? We’re looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team! You’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment where participants build lifelong swimming skills.
You’ll lead swim classes from in the water, ensuring safety, fun, and progression for all participants. With organized lesson plans, you’ll teach proper swimming techniques, encourage growth, and provide regular feedback to swimmers and parents. Plus, you’ll help keep equipment organized and contribute to a positive Y experience for every member.

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 16
• Ability to swim at an intermediate level (check out our Prerequisite Skills Evaluation)
• A positive attitude, great communication skills, and a passion for teaching.
• New Hire Orientation before your first shift.
• CPR Pro/AED/First Aid within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certifications preferred (we can help you get there!).
