About The Position
For more than 80 years, St. Andrew's Parks & Playground Commission has enriched lives through parks, recreation, and wellness. St. Andrew's Family Fitness Plus, a subdivision of St. Andrew's Parks and Playground, is currently hiring Swim Instructors for our indoor pool. Successful candidates demonstrate strong communication skills, reliability, and a commitment to helping participants improve their swimming abilities. As a Swim Instructor at St. Andrew's Family Fitness Plus, you will be responsible for teaching swim lessons to participants of varying ages and skill levels, in group and private sessions. Swim Instructors are responsible for assessing the progress of their students, and adjusting their teaching style to enhance their students' swimming abilities. Our swim instructors benefit from a step progression system based on experience, certification, and an increased availability to teach a consistent weekly schedule based on program needs and position level. Each level involves a higher degree of responsibility and commitment. If you are not yet a certified swim instructor, or your certification has expired, we are willing to train swim instructors who are willing to learn. If you are a strong swimmer, and enjoy working with participants of all ages, we want to hear from you! Our new 2-stage application process is quick and easy.
