About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team and provide exceptional swimming lessons to our members and camp goers. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a crucial role in promoting water safety, enhancing swimming skills, and fostering a love for aquatic activities among our club's members of all ages. If you have a passion for swimming and teaching, this is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact while enjoying the serene surroundings of our club.

Requirements

• Current certification in lifeguarding and CPR/First Aid.
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swimming techniques.
• Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate swimming techniques to individuals and groups.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, especially when working with children and adults.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for promoting water safety and swimming.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evening and weekend lessons.
• Willingness to undergo any additional training required by the club.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a swim instructor or lifeguard preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducting swimming lessons for individuals and groups of varying age and skill levels.
• Developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to the specific needs and goals of each swimmer.
• Teaching proper swimming techniques, including strokes, breathing, and water safety.
• Monitoring and ensuring the safety of all participants during lessons.
• Evaluating and tracking the progress of swimmers, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
• Promoting a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters a love for swimming.
• Communicating effectively with swimmers and their parents or guardians, addressing questions and concerns.
• Maintaining and organizing swimming equipment and facilities, ensuring they are clean and safe.
• Adhering to all club policies, rules, and regulations regarding pool usage and safety.
