Requirements

• 6 months of swim instruction experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications preferred.
• If not certified, the candidate must be able to meet the requirements to pass Lifeguard certification, including: Swimming at least 200 yards continuously. Treading water for 2 minutes. Retrieving a 10-pound brick from the bottom of the pool and swimming with it above the surface.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A caring, compassionate approach with children and adults.
• Ability to work in the water for up to 5-hour periods.
• A positive attitude and openness to feedback and coaching.
• Ability to focus and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to commit to at least one year of employment.
• Afternoon and weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Teach beginner and intermediate swim lessons, emphasizing safety and foundational skills.
• Communicate regularly with parents to share student progress and address any concerns.
• Maintain a safe and organized environment during lessons, consistently adhering to safety protocols.
