About The Position

Midtown is looking for year-round Aquatics Instructors to add to our first-class organization. Pay rate starting at $ 22.50 – 24.50. The Position As an integral part of the aquatics team, our Aquatics Coaches inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by: Demonstrating sound leadership, professionalism, resilience, and optimism Developing and maintaining aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience Prepare and execute lesson plans based on curriculum for Infant, Preschool & Youth levels Evaluate swimmers to ensure proper progression of skill set Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and families Promoting and providing private lessons Our Aquatics Coaches Minimum 2-years teaching experience with a recognized swim program or 4-years competitive swimming experience and passion for working with children Possess current lifeguard or water safety instructor certifications (American Red Cross preferred) Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information kindly, clearly, concisely, and timely Group Lesson times are Monday – Friday 3:45 – 6:30pm and Saturday & Sunday 9:00 – 1:00pm This job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position. Requirements

  • Minimum 2-years teaching experience with a recognized swim program or 4-years competitive swimming experience and passion for working with children
  • Possess current lifeguard or water safety instructor certifications (American Red Cross preferred)
