About The Position

The Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District strives to increase and enhance recreational opportunities by providing a variety of quality programs and activities for the residents of Frederick, Firestone, Dacono, and surrounding communities. Under direct supervision of The Aquatics Coordinator, Swim Instructors are responsible for facilitating swim lessons for a variety of ages and abilities according to the specific guidelines and programs set forth by the Aquatics Leadership Team.

Requirements

• Current lifeguard certification from StarGuard ELITE, American Red Cross, or Elias and Associates or the ability to become certified within 30 days of hire.
• 15 years of age

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the leadership, planning, preparation, supervision, and instruction of assigned classes.
• Responsible for taking attendance, filling out report cards, and other documents that may be required.
• Responsible for the safety of all participants, ensuring the participants are not left unattended.
• Attends staff trainings and meetings regularly as required.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Complies with District and departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
