About The Position

Aqua-Tots Swim School is seeking an energetic Swim Instructor who loves working with children and swimming. This part-time position focuses on teaching swimming skills to children in a fun and positive environment, following the Aqua-Tots curriculum. The role emphasizes swimmer safety, effective communication with students and parents, and maintaining a structured class environment.

Requirements

• Must be able to swim.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Ability to relate well to children, parents, and team members with superior communication skills.
• High energy and hustle with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Strong work ethic.
• Must be able to climb out of the pool from a ledge in varying depths of 3ft-5ft.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to be in a 90-degree pool for up to 4-5 hours.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills in accordance with the Aqua-Tots curriculum in a fun, positive manner.
• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and parents on their swimming efforts.
• Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills.
• Ensure swimmer safety during lessons.
• Maintain proper equipment and time organization to ensure timely class start times.
