About The Position
The Shaw JCC is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Summer Swim Coach Assistant to help lead and organize our youth swim team during the summer season. This assistant will play a vital role in developing swimmers’ competitive skills while fostering teamwork, discipline, and strong sportsmanship. The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, knowledgeable in competitive swimming techniques, and committed to creating a positive and safe team environment. This is an 8-10 week committment. We are looking for an assistant coach who is energetic, organized, and passionate about helping young athletes grow—not just as swimmers, but as respectful and sports-minded individuals. Requirements
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification
- American Red Cross CPR Certification for the professional rescuer
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to positively engage with youth athletes and families
Nice To Haves
- American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification (Preferred)
- Coaching Certifications and/or experience (Preferred)
- Prior swim coaching or competitive swimming experience perferred
