Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sweeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of trucks and trailers to transport materials efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards while performing duties in a variety of environments. Requirements

  • Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, kneel and stand for long periods of time.
  • Regularly lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Prolonged use of backpack blower (typically 15-30lbs)
  • Exposure to outdoor elements Including heat, cold, dust & noise.
  • Able to operate manual and power tools safely.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating street sweepers or similar equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload sweeping truck with precision, ensuring all materials are secured properly.
  • Drive sweep vehicles adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate logs of vehicle inspections, and any incidents that occur during service.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service of properties while maintaining safety protocols.
  • Operate sweeping equipment (Including sweep truck, back pack blower, shovel) to clean parking lots, roadways and curbs.
  • Use backpack blower to remove debris from curbs, corners and medians and tight areas that are Inaccessible by sweeping truck.
