Opportunity Snapshot: Compensation: $40.11/hour, DOE Location: Midland, TX Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours +, OT expected Assignment Duration: Long-term to direct Benefits: Comprehensive insurance, 401(k) program, PTO & Holidays Company vehicle Responsibilities The Water Technician II operates recycling equipment in coordination with the Operational Control Center (OCC) and Water Coordinators. Performs routine maintenance tasks to maximize reliability and runtime of recycling infrastructure. Performs preventative maintenance and light corrective mechanical duties as needed to operate, maintain and repair equipment, and may assist with major repairs. Coordinates with OCC, Water Coordinators, and Water Management personnel to perform job duties, communicates clearly with affected personnel on daily tasks, and may work alone or in teams as needed. Collects samples as needed of produced water and recycled effluent. Works with Water Management, Land, and contractors to construct new facilities. Works at recycling facilities, ponds, Above Ground Storage Tanks (AST’s) and in remote locations. Provides support and responds to unplanned conditions as necessary for daily operations. With direction, ensures recycling water supplies and storage are managed properly to provide adequate recycled water for scheduled demand. Coordinates with Water Coordinators to ensure proper PWM water movements and deliver water to the end user location for Client. Coordinates Water Supply of Produced Influent water from Client;s Asset Teams with direction Operates and manages Above Ground Storage Tanks (AST’s), recycling ponds, tanks, and processing/treating equipment, and other equipment and assets in assigned area, including maintenance and inspection. Walks perimeter of storage tanks and pipelines for maintenance and inspection. Climbs pit walls and AST’s stairs to visually inspect and verify instruments. With direction, Ensures recycling waste, including NORM, Air Quality, and Oil Skim, is handled correctly. Assists in working with water customers and landowners. Supports Control Room operations with tasks that must be performed manually. Learns proper techniques for water testing, reads test equipment, and gathers water samples. Monitor all pipelines and hoses associated with influent and effluent streams of reuse/recycling. With direction, learns basic operation and proper maintenance of pumps, compressors, engines, motors, sheaves, valves, strainers, filters, piping, ponds, electrical panels, water quality testers, and all other related equipment onsite and as needed. Operates, maintains, and inspects pond, pumping and water equipment to ensure proper operation. Checks for proper operation, making needed adjustments and minor repairs. Ensures proper security of assigned facilities. Maintains equipment in accordance with approved schedules, fulfills work orders, generates work orders for new tasks required, and balances schedule to respond to unplanned conditions according to the appropriate priority. Completes assigned work on time and meets schedules. Performs power washes and cleaning of equipment as directed. Performs routine housekeeping of assigned facilities to maintain a safe, orderly, and efficient work environment. Drives to location, gathers information, and diagnoses problems to perform minor repairs, replace broken parts, etc.
