Position Summary Plan and coordinate purchasing activities within the Solid Waste department to include contract compliance and administration. Perform a variety of technical duties involved in the procurement of goods and services; receive, examine and process department requisitions and Purchase Orders Releases (POR); assist in the development of procurement methodologies. Provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to higher level supervisory or management staff. Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis. Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or business administration; and Four (4) years of contract compliance or purchasing experience. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's license, or the ability to obtain by date of hire Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
