You will be a Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager in the Orlando Software Engineering Department. This role is responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, and hardware/software integration and verification. The individual will develop embedded software in C++ and Linux operating system in an Agile environment using JIRA, Git and Confluence. The individual will need to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development lifecycle.   • Maintenance of simulation software for a high-fidelity Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS) and Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) System.
  • Lead the Simulation Framework team.
  • Software requirement definition, design, code, test, integration, and verification activities for simulation software.
  • Management and development of the team.
  • Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions.
  • Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
  • Coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development.
  • Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program.
