About The Position

Work with a leading global consumer electronics company on innovative imaging and video technologies. This role involves developing applications, drivers, and firmware for advanced image/video compression and processing—powering features like camera capture, video calls, and wireless streaming. You’ll work on embedded systems and real-time platforms, leveraging C/C++ for multithreaded programming, debugging, and performance optimization. There’s also a strong focus on automated testing using the client’s internal frameworks. Experience with video codecs and Python integration is a big plus. This is a hands-on role with significant impact—your contributions will reach millions of users worldwide. This is a one year, W-2 contract engagement to start, with potential for extension/renewal.

Requirements

3+ Years of industry experience in embedded systems or firmware development.
Strong proficiency in C and/or C++.
Solid understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS), multi-threading, mutexes, semaphores, and concurrent programming.
Experience working hands-on with embedded devices and hardware bring-up.
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
