About The Position

The Senior Sales, Retail Alternatives position at Wilshire is a pivotal role that focuses on building and nurturing relationships with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), banks, family offices, and other intermediary channels. This position is integral to positioning Wilshire as a leading solutions provider in the realm of institutional quality fund offerings. The role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing and impactful product area within the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior management, alternative investment teams, sales and client services, as well as product development teams to drive sales and enhance client engagement. In this role, day-to-day activities will include conducting thorough research to identify potential clients, devising effective outreach strategies, and leveraging marketing materials to promote Wilshire's investment offerings. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy specifically tailored for Wilshire's Retail Alternatives products. This includes articulating the benefits of incorporating high-quality private markets exposure into portfolio allocations, which is essential for attracting and retaining clients. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with the Wilshire sales and marketing team to create and update sales literature, marketing materials, and advisor education resources. Maintaining a customer relationship management (CRM) system and database for all prospects and relationships is also a critical aspect of the position. Staying informed about market and industry trends related to alternative retail products will be necessary to ensure the candidate can effectively facilitate and close business deals by involving the appropriate subject matter experts.
