About The Position

The SVP & GM Fluid & Flexibles position at Spectrum Plastics is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the division's operations, including extrusion, assembly, maintenance, engineering, quality, and safety. The primary objective is to improve throughput, increase efficiency, and drive profitable growth while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a focus on continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Requirements

  • Management, Business, and/or Engineering Degree or advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of ten years managerial experience in a medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in plastics processing and assembly preferred.
  • Experience running a multi-site medical device manufacturing company or business unit.
  • Demonstrated leadership achievements in manufacturing management.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement programs successfully.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven conceptual and hands-on technical capability.
  • Strong grasp of U.S. and International economic factors related to manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the P&L of the division, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Implement and maintain effective cash management operations within the divisions.
  • Ensure reliable inventory and supply chain management systems are operational.
  • Maintain the highest quality standards in accordance with regulatory requirements (ISO & FDA).
  • Plan and develop comprehensive operating plans to increase throughput and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Direct accountability for divisional KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Evaluate and act on new purchasing/design/manufacturing/distribution ideas to support growth.
  • Prepare short and long-range operating plans based on sales forecasts and company direction.
  • Create a growth strategy in collaboration with SPG Commercial Leadership.
  • Manage effective customer communications and improve responsiveness to customer requirements.
  • Review new product quotations with sales to ensure resource availability.
  • Participate in establishing long-term growth and profitability goals for the divisions.
  • Communicate regularly with employees regarding performance and strategies.
  • Develop strategies to maintain SPG's leadership in new product development and manufacturing technology.
  • Prepare and manage the budget for assigned operations.
