We are hiring an SVP, Global Social & Digital Platforms Strategy, Streaming Marketing for HBO Max. This leader will be a visionary strategic and creative leader for our Social team within Streaming Marketing, accomplishing nothing less than solidifying HBO Max's position as the platform where the world's greatest stories live. This pivotal role requires an individual with a strong passion for storytelling, a keen eye for culture, a deep understanding of brand identity, and a tireless drive for creative excellence. Primarily, the leader will: Drive the global social media vision for HBO Max, developing strategies that align with HBO Max's brand goals and growth ambitions. Set the tone for social content and engagement across all platforms, ensuring brand consistency while adapting for regional differences. Serve as a thought partner and advisor to senior executives on all matters related to social media strategy and its integration with overall business and marketing goals. Influence high-level decision-making through data-driven insights and creative foresight. Develop and implement a comprehensive creator roadmap to align influencer partnerships with brand objectives and long-term growth strategy. Lead the ideation, development, and implementation of innovative, high-impact global social campaigns that elevate the brand. Collaborate closely with the Creative and Marketing Strategy teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and execution across all creative formats. Build the global social media footprint of HBO Max with a focus on increasing brand resonance across international markets. Champion a global-local balance, ensuring that global campaigns can be effectively localized to meet cultural and market-specific needs. Lead, mentor, and inspire a global team of social media strategists, creatives, and regional heads. Cultivate a culture of excellence, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning by modeling our guiding principles and setting the people strategy for the function. Build and maintain strong relationships with key platform partners (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, etc.), ensuring opportunities for early access to new features, tools, and insights. Oversee the creation of compelling, culturally relevant brand social content that strengthens audience engagement and loyalty. Leverage storytelling to enhance the emotional connection between our global audience and our content. Define key metrics for social success globally. Build a robust reporting framework that provides clear insights into social performance, campaign impact, audience growth, and ROI. Use data to continuously refine strategy and optimize content performance. Establish protocols for social media risk and reputation management, ensuring the brand is protected during potential crises or sensitive cultural moments. Work closely with content, creative, brand, product, PR, and media teams to ensure social strategies support business objectives, content releases, and user engagement goals. Align with internal teams to support all global marketing initiatives and launches.
