About The Position

Position Overview: The Senior IT Leader provides strategic direction in the development, delivery, and support of Enterprise Application Services (EAS), ensuring all solutions contribute to SECU’s mission and values. This role maintains departmental goals in lockstep with broader IT and Application Development objectives while guaranteeing strict adherence to all approved policies and standards. By collaborating closely with business lines, internal IT departments, and third-party vendors, the Leader establishes and maintains a comprehensive strategic vision and roadmap for the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 years direct experience in Technology, plus additional 2 years in management role

Responsibilities

  • (20%) Strategy – Collaborates with key business stakeholders and IT resources to architect joint strategic roadmaps. Ensures all solutions support business goals while prioritizing speed, efficiency, and security. Conducts regular roadmap reviews across partner units to guarantee comprehensive coverage of the project portfolio.
  • (20%) Business Relationship - Partners closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure developed solutions deliver innovation and drive growth. Fosters a culture of collaboration and modernization across all levels of the organization.
  • (15%) Delivery and Continuous Improvement - Drives high-velocity delivery and sustainable continuous improvement by leveraging data-driven planning and industry-proven frameworks. This leader proactively seeks stakeholder feedback to identify growth opportunities, ensuring all Enterprise Application Services (EAS) initiatives remain aligned with enterprise priorities and meet rigorous performance commitments.
  • (15%) Vendor Management – Cultivates and maintains robust relationships with current and prospective vendors. Oversees team-level vendor interactions to ensure accountability to SLAs and contractual commitments. Manages the financial health of engagements, including recurring costs and budget alignment.
  • (15%) Talent Management & Coaching – Provides direct people management, coaching, and mentorship to teams within their org structure. Ensures employees receive targeted training, career development opportunities, and consistent, actionable feedback to foster a high-performing technical organization.
  • (15%) Innovation & Future Readiness – Champions a culture that embraces technological innovation and stays current with emerging industry trends. Identifies and provides forward-looking training opportunities for leadership and staff to ensure the organization is prepared for future technical shifts.
