About The Position

The SVP, Digital Distribution and Revenue leader reports to the Division President, N.A. Small & Lower Midmarket Set the overall digital distribution domain mission, vision, and goals through collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders Manage the domain revenue/expense budget and guide the overall direction of the domain, including strategic decision-making, resource allocation across squads, and upholding quality standards. Partner with and leverage all market-facing sales/business development resources to meet or exceed divisional financial goals Lead and collaborate on growth strategies for all digital platform assets—users, inventory, traffic, engagement, etc. Oversee, manage, and innovate API/platform initiatives and strategies, focusing on continual improvement of related KPI metrics Develop and manage key distribution partner relationships as they relate to the small and lower midmarket/digital portfolio Oversee Marketplace UX and collaborate with all technology constituents to drive improved performance, stability, and outcomes. Act as a liaison with the rest of the organization, managing expectations with all stakeholders Design, build, and maintain customizable, modular products fit for purpose across distribution platforms Enhance analytic capabilities to increase efficiency and speed to market with distribution partners and internal sales teams Define and track the domain’s key performance indicators Facilitate quarterly business planning for the domain and shape (i.e., plan and prioritize) the domain backlogs at a high level Build an Agile culture through effective leadership, role modeling, and people management Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and awareness of industry trends Advocate for the agent and customer, bringing design thinking into customer journeys

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial underwriting and insurance industry theories and practices.
  • Domain expertise – sufficient subject matter, enterprise, technical, commercial expertise to gain credibility across functions, business units and lead effectively within product development/, customer lens, and underwriting related processes (STP or non-STP).
  • Readiness to take on full domain accountability – track record of leading teams to deliver digital products against broad business goals, ability to take ownership of responsibilities outside of immediate sphere of influence (e,g, stakeholder management across levels and functions).
  • Effective negotiator and influencer to persuade stakeholders with a fact base and customer feedback.
  • Business Development – experience in working with distributions and sales to create a long-term value for the organization from customers, markets, and relationships.
  • Craft: Combines both deep business and product knowledge leadership and influencing skills to persuade stakeholders and team towards a vision.
