About The Position

Responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing and communications strategy in a manner that grows awareness of Boyd Gaming properties while reinforcing our brand position and enhancing brand equity. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, training, and managing all marketing functions to achieve the Company objectives of sales, growth, profitability, and visibility while ensuring a consistent marketing message and position consistent with the corporate direction. Create, manage, coordinate and execute all marketing strategies and implement tactical plans that meet and exceed Company expectations. Achieve targeted results that are timely and effective Work closely with other members of senior management and the marketing teams to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy / plan for the Company. Analyze, evaluate, plan and execute on both existing and potential marketing activities and strategies. Oversee all aspects of Marketing including; e-commerce, traditional marketing, casino marketing & agency management. Develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs Coach, mentor, and raise the team's ability to deliver and exceed expectations while creating opportunities for succession talent. Create relationships and work closely with outside technology and advertising vendors. Research and analyze economic trends, spending habits and the demographic characteristics of consumers, their tastes and preferences for the Company's services and those of competitors. Keeping abreast of current marketing trends and technology Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least ten (10) years' management experience within hospitality operations, cross functional marketing or advertising.
  • At least five years of firm or agency experience (e.g. marketing, advertising or public relations).
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Experience in setting and executing consumer marketing strategies to hit specific brand goals.
  • Experience in project management of multiple large and complex business projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • A proven and successful track record leading a team.
  • Ability to build & hire a strong team spanning a variety of marketing functions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while finding creative solutions.
  • Proficient in MS office products and related media software.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
