About The Position

The SVP, Business Development & Sales (SBD) is responsible for driving revenue growth for Fair Access Banking by developing and executing a targeted market expansion strategy, establishing high-value partnerships, and informing product development to meet evolving customer and industry needs. This executive will lead partnership development efforts across financial institutions and non-bank entities and will represent Vast Bank at key industry events. The role requires deep cross-industry expertise, influential executive relationships, and a strong track record of leading high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in banking, strategy, business development, and/or sales.
  • Proven ability to originate meaningful commercial opportunities within the first 120 days.
  • Established executive-level network across financial services and global technology firms.
  • Extensive knowledge of banking, fintech, payments, and large-scale technology environments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Business Management, Finance, Banking or related field.
  • Strong communication skills to develop good working relationships and to promote cooperation and compromise among various departments.
  • Display the ability to research and comprehend a high level of knowledge in current and developing regulations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship at all levels by proactively participating and contributing to a positive work environment, controlling emotions and temperament, and exhibiting courteous, respectful, and professional behavior.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments, processes, and technologies. Technological ability and willingness to work remotely from home as required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure or adverse circumstances, using effective strategies for managing personal stress.
  • Ability to maintain personal and work direction when faced with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Drive U.S. market share and revenue growth for Fair Access Banking.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development and sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead customer acquisition efforts and partnership development with banks, non-banks, and major global technology firms.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships across the tech/fintech ecosystem, including e-commerce platforms, software development companies, and financial institutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop sales teams to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
  • Collaborate across Fair Access Banking to ensure offerings align with market needs; lead co-creation of new products or bundled solutions as needed.
  • Lead negotiations for commercial deals, partnerships, and potential investments.
  • Ensure acquisition and sales efforts focus on priority industries (e.g., gaming, cannabis, unseen markets).
  • Serve as a senior representative for Vast Bank at industry events, conferences, and partner forums.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and OFAC.
