About The Position

The position involves the service and repair of vehicles as assigned by service management or their designated representatives. Technicians are expected to complete repairs efficiently and accurately, adhering to safety requirements and dealership standards. The role requires participation in technical training and effective communication with service advisors regarding vehicle needs and repair timelines.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Complete service and repairs as assigned by management.
• Follow safety requirements and published procedures during work.
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replenish as necessary.
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed.
• Properly use special tools and equipment provided by the service department.
• Participate in technical training and manufacturer-sponsored programs.
• Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate with service advisors about additional work needed or changes in repair timelines.
• Maintain an organized and clean work space.
• Ensure customer vehicles are returned clean after service.
• Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards as per departmental policy.
• Achieve production objectives set by management.
• Review technical bulletins and publications as assigned.
• Provide administrative assistance for warranty repair orders and other tasks.
• Report any safety or integrity concerns to management.
• Use shop supplies and materials economically.
• Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders.
• Communicate constructively with other dealership personnel to satisfy customer needs.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste and safety.
• Safeguard all information according to company policy.
• Report to work on time and follow the given schedule.
• Complete annual HR training and any other required training.
• Follow all company policies and procedures and report illegal activities.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record according to insurance standards.
• Avoid being under the influence of substances during work hours.
