About The Position

In this high impact warehouse role you are on the front line of getting GM Defense parts into the hands of customers. You combine accuracy with a strong sense of urgency as you prepare, verify, and pack customer orders for safe, damage free shipment using our systems, scanners, and standard work processes. Every order you touch helps keep vehicles on the road, supports dealership service departments, and protects the GM Defense promise of quality and reliability. You will work as part of a tight knit team, rotating across picking, packing, and basic equipment operation, and you will see the direct results of your work in daily performance and safety metrics.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Forklift Certification – minimum 2 years' experience
  • 2+ years of Material/Warehousing Experience
  • Basic computer proficiency (i.e. Microsoft Office, email, etc.)
  • Candidate must either be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee) or a non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required export control authorization.
  • Quick response to safety instructions, alarms, and signals are a must
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
  • Navigate a busy warehouse
  • Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach
  • May need to lift or carry materials weighing up to 40 lbs.

  • Background in supply chain operations.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with handheld scanners and inventory management systems

Responsibilities

  • Picking Orders: customer order according to Order and quality specifications
  • Packing Orders: Pack and prepare customer orders for shipping, verifying that the correct items are included and properly packaged.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate machinery as needed, which may include forklifts or pallet jacks, handheld tools
  • Maintain proper record of shipped packages using established procedures
  • Inventory Management: Use computer systems and technology to track and manage orders and monitor inventory levels to determine need for stock replacement. Assist in plant physical inventories.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies when performing picking assignments
  • Participate in floor safety reviews
  • Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area.
  • Ability to accurately pick and pack items to meet customer expectations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage conflict effectively.
