ENSCO is seeking a Sustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer to support a MILSATCOM Program Management Office (PMO) within the US Space Force’s (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC) at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO. We conduct operations and sustainment activities for state-of-the-art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our Nation’s warfighters. ENSCO is looking for an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to provide test and evaluation and terminal operations on a diverse set of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM space systems and infrastructure. Join our high-functioning, high-performing MSEIT Sustainment IPT located at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB) and be an important part of directly supporting the Joint and Allied operational warfighting community, currently employing MILSATCOM and NC3 space systems, terminals and software applications worldwide. The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state of the art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems. This position is on-site in Colorado Springs, CO. Some of the job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design, plan, coordinate, and execute testing on the Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (Global-ASNT), Time Distribution Subsystem PreProcessor (TDSPP), Milstar Messaging System (MMS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), and various other MILSATCOM systems, subsystems and devices Provide engineering and technician-level support, including integration, communication circuit troubleshooting, system-level anomaly resolution, and the identification and isolation of software or hardware defects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client with regards to the modifications Author and deliver technical documentation including test plans, test procedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies, technical white papers, and test reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or similar technical discipline from an accredited university
  • Must be a motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning/improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • 5+ years of small team leadership experience
  • 5+ years experience with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
  • 5+ years experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
  • 5+ years experience working in a highly competitive multi-contractor environment
  • AN ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of Operational Test (OT) experience supporting a DoD Operational Test Agency (OTA) or other test organizations
  • Specific experience operating or maintaining the following: FAB-T, MMS, Global-ASNT, GBS Receive Suites, cryptographic equipment (e.g., KIV-7M, KG-250), and/or related infrastructure/support equipment
  • Knowledge of DoD mission system sustainment
  • International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification or higher
  • Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Responsibilities
