About The Position

The Sustaining Product Engineer Technician at Epredia plays a critical role in supporting technical product development by focusing on sustaining engineering activities for existing products. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance, ensure long-term reliability and quality, and drive continuous improvement efforts within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing required.
  • Manufacturing standard costing experience preferred.
  • Experience identifying sources of waste and manufacturing processes to drive down cost.
  • Experience with validation for equipment and processes.
  • Collaborative problem solver capable of working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of machine design practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer needs and determine if they are met by current products or if modifications are required.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to product functionality, performance, and quality.
  • Use problem-solving skills to identify and solve issues.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct experiments and tests in a laboratory setting.
  • Prepare technical forms, reports, and other correspondence.
  • Evaluate efficacy of chemical raw materials.
  • Record data in lab notebooks based on observations and test results.
  • Perform complex chemical analysis using quality assurance techniques.
  • Interpret test results to propose possible solutions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures and disposing of hazardous materials appropriately.
  • Communicate results to both scientists and non-scientists.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates across multiple departments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the organization.
