About The Position

As a Sustainable Investing Intern at Principal Financial Group, you will be part of a centralized team within Principal Asset Management, focusing on enhancing and supporting the firm's sustainable investing ecosystem. This role involves collaboration with various teams globally to establish and maintain client transition frameworks, engagement processes, and regulatory support, contributing to the firm's commitment to sustainability in investing.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or completed undergraduate or graduate level degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Environmental Studies.
• Involvement in extracurricular activities and/or community involvement.
• Interest in sustainability topics and investing.
• Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external partners globally.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Help plan data infrastructure and reporting needs to support the climate transition framework of Principal Asset Management.
• Support data gathering from investment team engagements for firm-level tracking purposes.
• Participate in reporting enhancement activities related to sustainable investing.
• Aid in sustainable investing oversight activities, including preparing for annual investment team reviews.
• Assist with business consulting and execution of sustainability-related regulatory projects.
