Core responsibilities Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvements on Facilities/Grounds/Handling equipment to ensure high availability and reduce breakdowns. Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, including coordinating with other departments and supporting Continental Business Teams. Maintain accurate records of work performed in SAP-PM and manage purchasing processes through CEOS. Ensure workplace safety by taking ownership of personal safety, reporting unsafe conditions, and maintaining a clean, organized environment. Facilitate cross-departmental meetings and provide support to improve quality and production levels. Work on projects and with contractors Follow all safety, environmental, and plant policies while supporting additional duties assigned by supervisors or management. NOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed. THE ENVIRONMENT Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as steel toes, hearing protection and eye protection where required. The job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided Must be able to stand for long periods, frequently stoop, twist, bend, walk long distances, climb stairs/ladders, and lift 50 or more pounds occasionally.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Good Leadership skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong written, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Good Computer skills
  • Have flexibility to adjust work schedule to meet maintenance and production needs.
  • 5+ years maintenance or engineering experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Continental is not able to offer visa support.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in maintenance or engineering related field
  • 1+ year Utilities / Building Maintenance experience
  • SAP experience is a preferred
  • 1 year of Continental Plant experience preferred
