About The Position
The Sustainability Strategy Intern position is a 10-week Summer Internship designed for undergraduate students who are pursuing degrees in fields such as environmental science, sustainability, economics, finance, accounting, political science, or related areas. This internship will take place within the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Sustainability team at Santander, located in Boston, MA. The team is dedicated to developing and implementing strategies that advance the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives. This includes measuring the environmental impact of the company's operations, promoting community engagement, and ensuring adherence to sound corporate governance practices. As a Sustainability Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting various initiatives aimed at enhancing Santander's sustainability efforts. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the calculation of financed emissions for key portfolios, conducting research on leading practices for ESG reporting, and supporting the development of various ESG reporting processes. Additionally, you will help create sustainability policies and procedures that align with the company's commitment to responsible corporate citizenship. This internship is particularly suited for students who are expected to graduate between December 2025 and May 2026, providing a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of sustainability within a corporate environment. Please note that the internship program does not offer relocation assistance, so candidates should be local to the Boston area or able to commute.
