About The Position
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. The AWS Sustainability team is looking for a results-oriented Sustainability Specialist to develop and implement strategies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the company's supply chain. This role will work hand in hand with our Supply Chain team in support of our Climate Pledge goal of Net-Zero Carbon by 2040. The ideal candidate will have industry experience leading programs to assess supply chain emissions, identify hotspots, and develop tailored decarbonization strategies aligned with corporate sustainability goals. The individual will be responsible for analyzing Scope 3 carbon data, managing supplier sustainability metrics, engaging with external business partners and across internal organizations, and delivering decarbonization results for AWS customers. This role requires a dynamic individual who can independently manage technical sustainability data, clearly communicate to leadership on complex topics, and drive our commitment to carbon reduction measures. Teamwork is an absolute must to accomplish our goals. You must be able to work within a team while depending on and driving others to accomplish goals for our customers.
