About The Position
Schneider Electric has an immediate opportunity for a Sustainability Associate to join our Energy and Sustainability Business. The role involves supporting the evaluation of clients' environmental, energy, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) portfolio and identifying regulated and/or market opportunities to support client sustainability objectives in collaboration with lead analysts. The focus will be from a data perspective, developing greenhouse gas (GHG) / carbon emissions inventories, water footprints, waste footprints, and other environmental inventories including data analysis, emission factor development, calculation methodology, web-system deployment, and supporting clients' third-party environmental reporting activities. The position also includes performing rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis of empirical data with a particular focus on environmental data such as carbon, water, and waste including life-cycle analysis (LCA). Additionally, the associate will contribute to the development of client sustainability strategies, prepare executive/elected official level presentations, and support clients in internal and external reporting initiatives to key stakeholders. Researching and communicating key emerging information and trends relating to global sustainability initiatives, supporting the analysis and development of SE's proprietary web tools, and contributing to the development of training resources for both internal and external clients are also part of the role. Some domestic and international travel may be necessary (approximately 5%).
