Join IMEG as a Sustainability & Energy Intern in Denver, CO, and collaborate with experienced engineers and consultants to implement sustainability and energy efficiency measures in buildings. You’ll support sustainable design through energy modeling, daylight and carbon analysis, life cycle cost studies, LEED/WELL/PHIUS/Green Globes certification support, and CFD analysis. Over this 10–12 week internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience working within project budgets and partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and client expectations. IMEG’s Sustainability & Energy team works on high-impact projects like Ann Arbor Community Geothermal serving 262 homes and a commercial building, with central geo located in a park and distributed via roadways, integrating both Civil and MEP design. The team’s mission is to reduce carbon emissions and create lasting solutions that benefit future generations. Students gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools like EnergyPlus, Helioscope, and IMEG’s custom PowerBI and AI platforms. IMEG is a recognized sustainability leader, contributing to LEED-certified projects and industry initiatives like SE2050 and AIA2030.
