About The Position

As a Sustainability Developer at IKEA, you will play a crucial role in promoting sustainable practices within the Distribution and Customer Fulfillment Center. Your primary focus will be on improving waste and recycling practices, engaging with both internal and external partners to achieve sustainability goals, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility. Requirements

  • Previous material handling equipment experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift, sit, stand, and walk for the length of the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and motivate others to accomplish sustainability unit goals, including environmental, social, and economic aspects.
  • Act as the designated IKEA representative responsible for processes and audits within the unit.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to promote IKEA values and sustainability.
  • Coordinate community activities such as volunteering events and donation drives to enhance brand awareness.
  • Identify and capture processes and opportunities to improve local goals related to social responsibility.
  • Retain and measure data associated with unit and country goals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in all locations within the fulfillment unit.
  • Contribute to an environment that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.
