About The Position

The Sustainability Associate will play a pivotal role in driving J.Crew Group’s commitment to sustainability by assisting with data collection, benchmarking, and analysis across key environmental impact areas, including climate, chemicals, and water. The Associate will report to the Director, Climate & Nature, and will work closely with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of working experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with comfort working in Excel and large datasets.
• Ability to manage data across multiple sources and track details accurately.
• Passion for sustainability and a deep commitment to environmental stewardship.

Nice To Haves

• An understanding of environmental issues, sustainability principles, and relevant regulations and standards, including SBTi and the GHG Protocol, is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of J. Crew Group’s climate strategy through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Track, analyze, and help improve GHG emissions data across Scope 1, 2, and 3.
• Assist with research related to climate and nature target-setting frameworks and emerging guidance and legislation.
• Support collection, organization, and validation of sustainability data across the supply chain, including climate, chemicals, and water-related metrics.
• Assist in maintaining and updating supplier sustainability datasets used for internal tracking, benchmarking, and reporting.
• Support the management and maintenance of supplier sustainability scorecards, including data inputs and updates.
• Light support of administrative needs for the Sustainability team, including processing invoices, tracking contracts, and supporting vendor documentation.
