About The Position

Responsibilities

• Maintains animal records and files including registrations, feed needs, and veterinarian visits.
• Maintains barn and pasture structures to ensure safety and appearance.
• Feeds and waters animals to maintain health and appearance; cleans stalls to prevent pests and infections.
• Trains animals for special events and easier handling.
• Transports and handles animals and equipment for demonstrations.
• Provides basic care for sick or injured animals.
• Estimates dates for animal breeding and deliveries; assists with birthing and weighing newborns.
• Assists the veterinarian during routine visits and vaccinations; assists farrier with hoof maintenance.
