About The Position

As a Sushi Cook, you will bring artistry, precision, and flavor to every plate. Using advanced knife skills and traditional techniques, you will prepare sushi and Japanese dishes that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. With your dedication to quality and consistency, you will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences that leave a lasting impression on our guests.

Requirements

  • Holds a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Demonstrates 1+ years of prior relevant sushi experience
  • Possesses strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sushi and other Japanese dishes with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail
  • Apply advanced knife skills and maintain superior plate presentation
  • Follow recipes and specifications set by the Chef to ensure food quality and consistency
  • Conduct regular inventory of assigned items, ensuring proper par levels are maintained
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and proper functioning of all kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Communicate with chefs and teammates to address and resolve any challenges
  • Assist with preparation in pantry and other kitchen areas as needed
  • Demonstrate knowledge of menu items, culinary techniques, and proper use of kitchen tools
