As a Sushi Line Cook, you will develop and use your food passion to produce unique sushi offerings in a high-volume, open kitchen restaurant. Requirements

  • 2 or more years’ experience working as a sushi line cook
  • Experience making sushi and other types of Japanese cuisine
  • Knife skills
  • Food safety and quality assurance knowledge
  • Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant ingredients and cuisine

Nice To Haves

  • Highly proficient with cutting and working with whole fish, including handling sashimi-quality fish
  • Confident working in an open kitchen
  • Experience preparing sushi in a high-volume environment

Responsibilities

  • Ensure incredible service is provided by effectively handling a variety of tasks
  • Follow proper recipes, knife skills and cooking techniques to provide consistent ingredients and finished products
  • Balance prep work while ensuring guests meals are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards
  • Possess an understanding of ingredients used and menu offerings, sharing knowledge with restaurant team members
