Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Sushi Clerk is responsible for providing service that exceeds the expectations of customers by performing the following duties (other duties may be assigned):

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Basic to intermediate math and computation skills are required.
• Skills to read, understand, and follow through on verbal and written instructions. Skills to exercise good judgment at all times. Skills to resolve conflicts and analyze a variety of situations to find a solution.
• Knowledge of English
• Should have the ability to speak, read, and understand English.
• While performing the duties of this job, the Sushi Clerk is regularly required to stand for long periods; walk; frequently use hands; hands to finger; handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The Sushi Clerk occasionally is required to reach with hands and arms. The Sushi Clerk is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Sushi Clerk must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and color vision.

Responsibilities

• Prepares sushi in quantities according to the menu and number of people served.
• Prepares all sushi items according to company recipes.
• Prepares all sushi items using proper kitchen equipment.
• Serves customers with a smile and a willing attitude. Assures high sales through establishing relationships with customers to ensure repeat business.
• Follow the employee handbook at all times, especially on service standards and appearance.
• At all times meets and exceeds company standards in food, service, quality, and cleanliness.
• Engages the customer in a friendly manner, shares product information, and assists in locating products throughout the store. Seeks opportunities to exceed customer expectations and enhance the customer experience.
