About The Position

Japan Village is a small business in Brooklyn, NY. We are rewarding, fun, social and our goal is to provide an authentic bar -style sushi experience tucked away in the bustle of Japan Village in Brooklyn. We are currently on a first come, first serve basis. Our work environment includes: International workforce Relaxed atmosphere We are currently seeking a skilled sushi chef to join our team full -time or part -time. Our restaurant is dedicated to providing customers with high -quality Japanese cuisine, omakase service and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for creating delicious sushi dishes.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a sushi chef
• Ability to work in a fast -paced environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to high -quality standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Passionate about creating amazing sushi and committed to providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to commute/relocate to Brooklyn, NY 11232

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving a variety of sushi dishes using traditional Japanese techniques
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Ordering and managing inventory of sushi ingredients
• Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen
• Ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met
