About The Position

This internship offers a rewarding experience for a candidate eager to contribute to the Security Update Service (SUS) team. The SUS Governance Specialist Intern will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and completeness of data essential for providing patching solutions across Motorola Solutions' supported products. Database Management: Ensure the SUS product database remains accurate and up-to-date. Information Maintenance: Keep vital information current, including the Operating System, hardware, and technology details, for 1000+ supported items to facilitate effective patching solutions. Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with various teams (e.g., Development, Support, Product Owners) to track and manage progress. Gap Identification & Reporting: Proactively alert management on gaps identified within the offered patching solutions.

Requirements

• Must currently be pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date during or after December 2026
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
• Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and independent problem-solving skills (e.g., effective use of search engines).
• Strong adaptability to new processes, technologies, and tools.
• Basic foundational knowledge of Operating Systems (both Windows and Linux), hardware, and technology.
• A strong desire for continuous learning, growth, and advancing technical skills, coupled with a willingness to embrace challenges.

Nice To Haves

• Prior exposure to database and schema concepts.
• Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or Communications.
