Lockheed Martin Skunk Works and its ISR & UAS line-of-business, seeks a motivated and enthusiastic full-time Early Career Survivability Engineer candidate to join the Signature Management & Survivability Team. Specifically, we seek to identify a candidate with expertise or willingness to learn one of the following disciplines: - Aircraft stealth signature reduction and low observables (LO) phenomenology - Radar cross section (RCS) susceptibility - Electromagnetics (EM), computational electromagnetics (CEM) - LO project/program management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Optics, or related technical major
  • Experience working in a lab environment or hands on build experience
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS//SCI Security Clearance
  • Experience with radar cross section reduction (RCSR) or radio-frequency (RF) antenna design/integration
  • Knowledge of RADAR, RF materials, RF material measurements
  • Programming with C/C++, Java, Fortran, Matlab, Python
  • CAD software literacy for model cleanup and meshing

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing, analyzing, and communicating vehicle signature predictions using Unix-based codes and tools.
  • Engagement in the research, design, computational electromagnetic modeling, fabricating, and testing of advanced electromagnetic metamaterials.
  • Responsible for planning, performing, post-processing, and communicating the results of laboratory, field, flight, and vehicle signature measurements.
  • Writing and using scripts to batch analysis and post-processing.
