About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Road and Bridge Contractor Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying for road and bridge construction projects and be proficient in using multiple layout systems. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and precision of our construction projects, working closely with project teams to collect and analyze survey data, and ensuring all construction activities are carried out according to plan and meet regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in road and bridge construction projects, with proficiency in using multiple layout systems.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with surveying tools and software such as Trimble Business Center and SCS900/Siteworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Detailed Surveys: Perform comprehensive topographic, as-built, and land surveys to establish precise boundaries and elevations for road and bridge construction projects.
• Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with engineers, architects, and construction managers to gather and interpret data necessary for project planning and execution.
• Utilize Multiple Layout Systems: Operate various layout systems, including total stations, GPS, and laser scanning equipment, to ensure accurate measurements and data collection.
• Prepare Comprehensive Reports: Create detailed drawings, charts, and reports of survey data, including topographic maps and construction site layouts.
• Ensure Compliance: Verify that all survey data and measurements comply with project specifications and regulatory standards.
• Monitor Construction Progress: Regularly check construction sites to ensure that work is being carried out according to survey plans and specifications.
• Document Survey Work: Maintain thorough records of all survey activities, including notes, sketches, and digital data.
• Communicate Effectively: Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
