Surveyor/GPS Technician
About The Position
A&A Safety, Inc. is currently seeking a Surveyor/GPS Technician to join our team. This position plays a critical role in providing construction layout data and building machine control models to support efficient and accurate field production. The Surveyor/GPS Technician collaborates with project teams to ensure the successful implementation of plan designs and schedules in the field. We’re looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Requirements
- Experience with Trimble surveying software and hardware preferred
- Strong understanding of construction layouts and GPS modeling
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications
- Comfortable working outdoors and in various field environments
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
Responsibilities
- Collect geographic data using survey grade equipment
- Create, update, and manage 3D models utilizing Trimble Business Center
- Work with Paving and Construction crews to confirm accuracy of placed material.
- Operate and maintain GPS equipment
- Prepare Cut and Fill reports using Trimble Access and Trimble Siteworks
- Conduct data quality control and assurance checks
- Coordinate with project managers, clients and supervision staff to complete projects on time
