KCW Engineering Technologies, Inc. is recruiting for a Survey Technician with 5+ years' experience. The Survey Technician will work in conjunction with a Professional Land Surveyor to perform a wide variety of survey related tasks, including preparation of topographic, special purpose, ALTA/NSPS, and other surveys, as well as preparing construction stake-outs, using Civil 3D to prepare drawings and maps from field data collected by field technicians.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of survey experience
MD driver’s license
Must be punctual and reliable
Must be able to read cursive

Nice To Haves

Associate’s Degree in a Survey Related Field and/or formal CAD training
Certified Survey Technician Level I, II, or III
Minimum of 5 years of survey related AutoCAD or Civil3D/Carlson experience

Responsibilities

Communicate with team and supervisor about workload and needs
Construction stakeout computations for field crews using construction plan sets
Prepare and check cutsheets for construction stakeout work
Records research to prepare deed mosaics for boundary/ALTA jobs
Process and interpret survey data collected in the field
Maintain and organize digital and paper survey records
Collaborate with planners, project managers and engineers regarding projects
Communicate daily with field crews to provide direction and support for ongoing projects
Perform QC/QA on different types of survey deliverables
