About The Position

As a Survey Technician at Bohler, you’ll work hands-on with both field and office teams to transform real-world data into the accurate deliverables that guide every successful land development project in the Warrenton area. Whether you’re processing field data, refining drawings in Civil 3D, or collaborating with survey crews, you’ll play a vital role in turning precision into progress and build the foundation for your future in surveying. About the Role Bohler’s Warrenton, VA office is seeking a Survey Technician to support the field and CAD production efforts for projects across the Warrenton area. In this role, you’ll prepare easements, plats, boundaries, and ALTA Land Title surveys while assisting with deed compilation and base mapping. Working closely with Survey Managers, Crew Chiefs, and Project Managers, you’ll help ensure that every survey is accurate, complete, and ready to drive the next phase of development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; coursework or degree in surveying, engineering, or related field a plus
  • 1+ years of CAD or field surveying experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey data management tools
  • Strong math, organizational, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and follow-through
  • Self-starter who can manage priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process easements, plats, boundary, topographic, and ALTA Land Title surveys
  • Convert and compile field data into detailed survey drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Plot deeds, establish base sketches, and conduct basic research with minimal oversight
  • Deliver and share data between field and office teams to maintain accuracy and alignment
  • Identify and communicate technical issues or data discrepancies to project leads
  • Support field crews as needed with calculations, sketches, or field setup coordination
  • Contribute to project quality and efficiency by maintaining organized, precise documentation
