About The Position

FEI is seeking a Surveying Technician to support land development surveying projects through accurate preparation of survey maps and exhibits. This is a technical office-based role focused on producing high-quality surveying deliverables and coordinating closely with Survey Project Managers to meet project schedules and budgets. This position is intended for candidates with prior land surveying experience , not general CAD-only drafting.

Requirements

High school diploma
Minimum of 1 year of relevant land surveying experience
Proficiency with Carlson and AutoCAD in a surveying environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

CAD certifications related to surveying
Associate’s degree in Geomatics or related field
Experience with Ajera expense and timesheet systems
Interest in long-term growth within the surveying profession

Responsibilities

Prepare surveying maps and exhibits using Carlson and AutoCAD , including:
Plot plans
Topographic surveys
ALTA/NSPS surveys
Boundary surveys
As-built surveys
Final plats and other survey deliverables
Work with Survey Project Managers to produce accurate deliverables within established budgets and schedules
Submit plats and survey maps to governmental agencies for review and approval
Maintain high standards of work quality and compliance with FEI policies and procedures
Collaborate effectively with survey staff and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
