About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Survey Technician to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership ability in the technical domain with 3-6+ years of surveying experience in a civil firm. This role primarily involves office work, with occasional field duties, supporting the daily schedules of the field team. You will utilize field-collected data to create cutsheets and layout plans for engineers.

Requirements

• 3-6+ years of experience as a Survey Technician in a CAD-based role.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D software; experience with Carlson is a plus.
• Experience in both field surveying and engineering design is advantageous.
• Familiarity with land surveying, data collection, maps, layouts, ALTA, and topographic surveys.
• Ability to read blueprints and contract documentation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cutsheets, topos, and field stakeouts.
• Boundary survey software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cutsheets, wallchecks, finals, as-builts, boundaries, topographies, and field stakeouts.
• Work primarily on new construction for large parcels of land.
• Assist the field coordinator in preparing work for crews.
• Schedule field crews based on workload and perform field survey duties as needed.
• Participate in at least one continuing education class annually.
