About The Position

The Survey Party Chief is responsible for the construction layout for roadway, structures (bridges, wall, culverts, etc.), utilities, and any other related layout for the project. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Determine methods and procedures for the recovery of existing survey control and establishing secondary survey control as needed. Operate and maintain all survey equipment including manual and robotic total stations, levels, GPS, and any other survey equipment. Perform layout work competently and accurately as specified. Familiar with Topcon/Leica/Trimble hardware and software or willingness to learn. Mathematical skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Possess an understanding of algebra and geometry. Other Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 2-4 years’ experience in the surveying industry.
• F i eld b a s ed p ro j ect exec uti on ex p er i e nce.
• 1 year minimum of construction layout.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment
• Mathematical skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Possess an understanding of algebra and geometry.

Nice To Haves

• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently.
• Familiar with Topcon/Leica/Trimble hardware and software or willingness to learn.
