About The Position

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Survey Party Chief to join a dynamic team for all types of land surveying work on projects throughout the greater upstate of South Carolina. The successful candidate must be a responsible, motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and work ethic. As the Survey Party Chief, you will be responsible to plan, research and calculations for boundary surveys, and calculations for construction staking; to perform field survey work for boundary, topographic, elevation certificates and construction surveys.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Party Chief is preferred.
• Experience in performing Topographic Surveys, Construction Staking Layout, & Boundary Surveys.
• Proficient with Robotic Total Stations, GPS, & Data Collectors (Trimble Equipment Preferred but not required).
• Experienced in reading and understanding survey maps and plans.
• Ability to recover boundary evidence in the field.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Organized, able to multi-task & prioritize while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in extreme outdoor conditions.
• Ability to perform outdoor physical activities, including lifting up to 50 pounds and carrying equipment up steep inclines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, research and perform calculations for boundary surveys.
• Perform calculations for construction staking.
• Conduct field survey work for boundary, topographic, elevation certificates and construction surveys.
• Supervise field survey personnel and organize the work of the field survey crew.
• Collect as-built and topographic data.
• Review and understand construction drawings, make calculations and perform construction layout.
• Understand and interpret legal descriptions and record survey maps.
• Maintain project budget requirements and manage time effectively.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
