About The Position
Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. in the Beaumont, TX area is offering challenging and exciting career opportunities for Survey Party Chiefs. We are seeking qualified candidates that are detail-oriented and experienced in Construction Surveying to join our team. This role is critical to ensure that structures, utilities, and site features are built according to design specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working on active construction sites and be proficient with modern survey equipment and software. Qualified candidates must be able to perform all duties listed below safely and follow all of the company’s safety procedures.
Requirements
- Experience in industrial construction surveying.
- Proficiency with survey software.
- Strong understanding of geodetic principles and coordinate systems.
- Ability to work in challenging environments.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- Preference given to candidates with 5 years of Field Engineer / Survey Party Chief experience at meets or exceeds performance expectations.
Responsibilities
- Perform construction layout for foundations, utilities, roads, and other site features.
- Establish and maintain horizontal and vertical control points.
- Interpret construction drawings and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate field implementation.
- Operate total stations, GPS, and robotic instruments for layout and data collection.
- Maintain detailed field notes and records of survey activities.
- Assist with as-built surveys and quantity verification.
- Collaborate with superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve layout issues.
